Asylum Circle in partnership with State Government are managing transitional accommodation for single men seeking asylum experiencing financial hardship due of their visa status and current immigration policies.
Currently 14 men are accommodated and supported with the assistance of St Vincent de Paul Bardon Conference, Red Cross employment and emergency relief services, Romero Centre pantry supplies, Communify Pantry, Friends of Bardon volunteer support network, Bardon State School, World Wellness Group and the many generous donations that allow us to provide food vouchers for the men.
We have created a model of transitional housing providing case management alongside a holistic approach involving engagement of local community members and groups. With secure stable accommodation the men can focus on their well-being, finding employment and the goals that were previously beyond their reach.
